The Salt Box is a celebration of seasonal food and open-fire cookery through the coming together of people beneath the trees, creating delicious food from nature’s humble ingredients.  We celebrate locally sourced and wild ingredients through our wide range of cookery courses and woodland experiences, all in the great outdoors surrounded by crackling fires.

Current Vacancies

Zero Hours – [Posted 1st September 2023]

We are looking for an individual who is diligent, with strong attention to detail and a can-do attitude. The role will suit someone who is local and flexible, primarily with weekday daytime availability.
Core responsibilities include washing pots, pans and all event crockery and glassware, keeping floors clean and sanitising food preparation areas.

Freelance Role / Part Time / Full Time

We will looking to fill a number of roles with enthusiastic individuals who may have experience cooking over the flames / foraging / game butchery / bushcraft / fermentation for our 2024 event season (mid-February to end November 2024). These roles will be defined late Autumn 2023 and will suit someone who is flexible, organised and passionate about food, fire and flames!
This roles will involves assisting our team in the delivery of our wide range of cookery courses and woodland experiences here at our premises on the Priory Farm Estate in South Nutfield, Surrey – as well as supporting our activities at corporate events and festivals.
