Our creative collaborations guarantee a warm welcome, a gentle dose of mindful creativity, unlimited cuppas and delicious food inspired by seasonal and local ingredients.

Mindful Creativity Beneath The Trees

Our experiences begins with a gentle meander up to our woodland glen, where we’ll be spending the day beneath the trees.

After a restorative brew, Surrey Art School founder Ellie Green will guide you through a creative session inspired by the seasons.

Our creative collaborations include either:

  • a delicious seasonal and locally inspired light lunch
  • a selection of wildly inspired baked treats

.. and of course, copious pots of tea and coffee, freshly brewed over our open fires.

Spring Foraging Walk, Botanical Illustrations & Seasonal Lunch

Friday 26th April 2024
10:00am - 1:30pm

Take a walk on the wild side, as we introduce you to the hidden delights of nature’s spring larder. We’ll start the day with a wild tea, before we head on a walk through fields, woodlands and along tracks, with a syllabus built around what is not just seasonally available, but delicious too!

After our walk we’ll settle down for a slow and mindful botanical illustration workshop led by Ellie from Surrey Art School, featuring ingredients gathered in our foraging baskets.

Using creativity to help us anchor the learning from our foraging walk, we’ll create studies of our foraged finds using beginner kind drawing techniques – refining our sketches with fineliners and adding light washes of watercolour to bring our studies to life.

All materials, freshly brewed tea and coffee and a delicious light lunch are included in this seasonal workshop.

Wildflower Botanical Painting & Seasonal Lunch

Friday 12th July 2024
10:30am - 1:30pm

See you in the meadow this summer, when the fields are in full bloom, for a beautiful botanically-inspired workshop suitable for beginners. Ellie will share some gentle & soothing techniques for painting seasonal herbs and native wildflowers in vibrant watercolours. You’ll learn how to use a range of brushes to capture wild stems, leaves and blooms.

Once you’ve learned some of the core techniques, Ellie will invite you to ‘make a meadow’ of your own – choosing your favourite flowers from the ‘creative buffet’ on offer before putting them down on paper as a beautiful memory of the sweet days of summer.
