We do our very best to support local. Surrey is a hub of creativity, full of wonderful people doing incredible things. We have been extremely lucky to work with a long list of incredible, inspiring people in and around Surrey who we not only share our common values with, but also provide us with new perspectives, trigger our creativity and generally are a great help as we continue our adventure!

For us, it’s the simple things….


Being able to chat to our farmers about their livestock,

The grower about their seasonal offerings,

Our butchers about select cuts of often forgotten meat,

Illustrators who create amazing things from our sketchy briefs,

Passionate florists with locally grown flowers,

Woodsmen who provide sustainable firewood,

Photographers who capture our story through pictures,

Gamekeepers about their access to the seasonal wild larder,

Potters for our platters.

We are committed to strengthening our local food community and work closely with local farmers and artisans who harvest and produce outstanding products at the peak of their ripeness and flavour. It’s fresher, hasn’t had to travel far, keeping our money in the local economy.


There’s nothing we love more than getting our wellies on and working directly with independent suppliers we trust – dedicated producers who truly care about what we eat.  We forge strong, working relationships that often blossom into friendships. It’s how we can be absolutely sure about quality and provenance. It makes for a pretty great day out too.

The Salt Box is based on the Priory Farm Estate, so we may be biased but we’re ever so fond of our friends here at the family run Priory Farm, with it’s multi award-winning farm shop, family discovery walk and beautiful grounds.

We’ve been sourcing lots of our meat from The Dorking Butchery since day 1. Their enthusiasm and experience for sustainably sourced meat with a short field-to-fork journey is second to none. 

We’ve been sourcing our fish from Dan and the team at Veaseys and Sons Fishmongers since we started. They source their fish from boats all along the south coast, have fantastic customer service and most definitely the finest quality fish around.

A family run business at the foot of Leith Hill, Etherley Farm produce high quality free range poultry all year round. Etherley’s duck has featured on many our menus – it’s fantastic!

The team behind Crumbs are on a mission to create beautiful beer using artisan bread that would otherwise go to waste. Not only is it a great local tipple, but has also featured within many of our our Supper Club dishes.

Hill House Farm pride themselves on creating high quality products from their Gloucester Old Spot pigs, Southdown sheep and native grass-fed beef, all with great provenance, farmed here in the Surrey Hills.

A stone’s throw from our barn, Nutfield Dairy provide us with fresh milk and dairy products from our own cows, milked, pasteurised, and bottled by the team.

Founded in 1971 in Abinger Hammer, this family owned business provides high quality food, sourcing as much regional and local food as possible. They also grow the most fabulous watercress and have a stunning florist. 

We’re proud members of Local Food Britain,  the guide to food, drink and places to eat in your local area. We’ve hosted a number of pop-ups in collaboration with the team and used a number of Local Food Britain producer’s ingredients in our dishes! 

Established in 1982 in Reigate, Pilgrim Brewery is one of the oldest craft breweries in the South East. A small family run business driven by the desire to brew the very best of beers, they have a fantastic beer garden and tap-room where we’ve hosted courses and pop-ups!

WeFiFo  is a brilliant supper club platform taking the foodie world by storm. Founders Jon and Seni are the most passionate pair of foodie enthusiasts we’ve come across and their support to date has been invaluable!


We collaborate often with Ellie from Surrey Art School, a contemporary seasonal art school that believes in the value of creativity to enhance our overall sense of well-being. Our collaborations combine woodland feasts with natural arts.

Wildly styled flowers by Poppy Wild Floral often feature at our dining events.


Arranging flowers in a style that celebrates their texture, form and natural movement.

Georgie is a Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga teacher, who joins us beneath the trees when we combine Yoga practices with a woodland feast over fire!

Featured at all our Breakfast in the Woods events, Cupsmith are a Surrey based family run business with a passion for the finer drinks in life, and pottering with the perfect brew!

Quality wood products made from sustainably-sourced timber, set in the glorious Norbury Park just outside of Dorking, managed by Surrey Wildlife Trust. They provide us with exceptional oak charcoal produced on site from their oak slab wood offcuts.


Nestled beneath the trees at the foot of Leith Hill, this beautiful and secluded six acre glampsite is the perfect spot for feasts over fire in the great outdoors. We have hosted pop-up Suppers here and love to cook for The Green Escape glamping guests.


An independent wine merchant with over a decade-long history of sourcing, selling and delivering delicious wines from around the world. We have the pleasure of cooking up a feast every month for their Wine-tasting event at their Reigate branch.

A joint venture between Thomas Whitaker and Dhruv Baker. They source single breed pigs and ex-dairy cattle to create a range of meticulously spiced charcuterie. We’ve tasted the whole range and it’s a thing of beauty!

Roasters of the finest artisan coffee at the foot of Leith Hill, which powers us through many an event and also quenches the thirst of our diners at Breakfast and Brunch events. We’re particularly fond of their Cottage Blend!


Mother and daughter run Brightleigh farm is just down the road from us in Outwood. They provide us with incredible Pasture-For-Life beef from their herd of Hereford and Angus cattle.

Lizzie and Jamie are passionate purveyors of quality grass fed Cotswold Kid Meat – taking a once overlooked by-product and providing a sustainable (and delicious) source of red meat. A product very close to our hearts.

Launched by seasoned Head Distiller Simon Sherlock, Distillers Of Surrey is an artisan small batch distillery where craftsmanship is at the heart of the process.

A fantastic brewery situated in an old brickworks, brewing a wide range of beers with a buzzing taproom!

Surrey Wildlife Trust protect and connect wildlife sites across the county and inspire local communities and young people to care for wildlife where they live.

We have hosted a number of events in collaboration with the trust, including a Litter Picking Picnic!

An outstanding Blacksmith at the ripe old age of 16! Jack has produced some outstanding pieces of work for us.

The team at Fieldware specialising in waxed cotton aprons, made here in British. Our team have been wearing their aprons for years!

Joe from Wyer Works out of all sorts of things from reclaimed wood & other materials. He has created some incredible wooden platters for us!

Albury Vineyard are a small, family-run biodynamic vineyard located in the beautiful Surrey Hills.
