Spring Flower Arrangement Workshop & Cream Tea

Friday 10th April 2020 (Good Friday) | 2:30pm – 5:30pm

We’re kicking off the Easter weekend with a collaboration with Poppy Wild Floral, combining floristry and food for an afternoon in our cosy barn on the beautiful Priory Farm estate. You’ll learn how to create a wildly styled luxury arrangement using a variety of beautiful fresh flowers and foliage, followed by a seasonally inspired cream tea with a glass of local sparkling wine.

We’ll kick off the workshop with Poppy guiding you through how to condition flowers and foliage before arranging them, giving you a few simple considerations to help you get the best from your flowers and prolong the vase life.

 

You’ll learn how to create a perfect spiral, a skill that you’ll be able to practise at home. Poppy will advise you on how to select your own flower recipe to balance form, texture and tone – and then we’ll get stuck in making our own! 

 

Poppy will also show us how to use bits of the flowers that would otherwise have been wasted, as well as pre-selecting British grown blooms that are suitably harmonious in everyone’s arrangements!

 

Following the workshop, we’ll sit down at our shared dining tables in our cosy barn for a selection of seasonally inspired sweet and savoury treats, and a glass of Albury Vineyard bubbly.

Had a lovely morning at The Salt Box barn making Beeswax Wraps. A very friendly welcome and atmosphere, beautiful Barn and an enjoyable morning. Beckie was so friendly and helpful and Christian made a lovely gluten free rocky road. Can highly recommend, I will be coming back again for another course.
We recently visited and had the most lovely evening. The weather was not kind but the evening ran seamlessly in their lovely barn. Food was imaginative and delicious with a great local ethos. We definitely recommend.
My daughter and I had a great afternoon learning to find things to print with in nature, how to print with inks and start a fire. All whilst a delicious supper was prepared and then enjoyed in beautiful surroundings. A great way to spend an afternoon in the summer holidays.
