Summer Solstice Sundown

Summer Solstice Sundown

Feast over Fire | Woodland Yoga | Sunset Art Workshop

Woodland Supper Club, Surrey Supper Club, The Salt Box

Celebrate the summer solstice beneath the trees

A collaboration by The Salt Box and Surrey Art School

This summer solstice, we’re bringing you an evening of fire-side feasting, woodland yoga and natural arts to make the most of the longest day of the year and the start of summer! The summer season is a time to invite fire into our lives and an opportunity to burn away all that we have outgrown and that no longer serves us.

Nestled within a secluded woodland glen on the Priory Farm Estate in Nutfield, we’ll start the evening with a cup of wild tea and a light bite. As the sun sets on the longest day of the year, Georgie from GLO Yoga Sussex will lead a harmonising yin and yang practice to balance mind, body and spirit. We’ll be using meditation practices and nature inspired vinyasa flow sequences to connect to this beautiful al fresco space before enjoying a deep relaxation under the canopy of the trees. We will close with collective breathwork and a beautiful Summer Solstice Yogi blessing.

We’ll then gather around our communal table for a locally and seasonally inspired feast, cooked over an open fire by the team at The Salt Box, as the sun sets on the longest day of the year.

After Supper, Ellie from Surrey Art School will lead us on a fireside guided meditation followed by a natural arts workshop. We’ll end the evening with a chance to put our feet up and relax around the fire.
