Event Details
Robata is a Japanese style of cooking which translates to “fireside cooking”. And that’s exactly what you will be doing, cocktail in hand as you turn perfectly formed sticks of wild meat and fish over the embers of your fire. All cooked over our Country Fire Kitchen hanging frames, which we will turn into robata grills for the night, creating our woodland spin on the robatayaki.
Our adventure begins with a gentle meander up to our woodland glen. Along the way, we will gather a selection of wild ingredients, introducing you to the tasty morsels that nature’s larder has to offer.
Surrounded by the crackle and pop of your fires we will guide you on a cocktail making masterclass, where you will make a selection of seasonal tipples to enjoy with your friends or family.
All of the wild ingredients for your cocktails will have been picked within the Priory Farm Estate and preserved throughout the year, giving us the perfect snapshot of the seasons right here from nature’s larder.
Get Grilling
Our fire kitchen crew will create a medley of skewers, which you’ll all get to grill at your fire stations. The skewers will be inspired by the seasons, using plenty of wild British game and locally sourced meats.
Each skewer will come with paired sauces and garnishes for you to dip and scatter, over once you have grilled them to perfection!
Although you will be cooking your own skewers throughout the evening, please note that all preparation will be done in advance by our team of chefs.
To round off the day, our Sips and Sticks events will finish with our very own homemade seasonal marshmallows, toasted over the dying flames of the day’s fires as a little pick me up before you head home.
