See the Light – Art Workshop & Woodland Lunch

See the Light

Photography, Natural Art & Woodland Lunch

with The Salt Box and Surrey Art School

Join us in the woods for a collaboration with Surrey Art School!

We’re combining art and food for a morning beneath the trees at the beautiful Priory Farm, followed by a seasonal feast inspired by seasonal, local ingredients.

We’re very excited to welcome Ellie Green, founder of Surrey Art School to the woods!

Photography can help anchor us to the present moment, encouraging us to notice subtle changes in light, texture and colour in our surroundings. We’ll take a lovely mindful photography walk led by Ellie where she will explain how to use your ‘attentional aperture’ to tune into the present moment and demonstrate the meditative qualities of photography.

This will followed by a sun-printing (cyanotype) taster session where you’ll learn how to create camera-less photographs harnessing only the power of the sun.

Following the art workshop, we’ll sit down at our shared dining table beneath the trees for a 2-course lunch, cooked over an open fire.
