Nestled in the woodlands on the Priory Farm Estate.
Our Venue
In our woodland glen, you'll find our wooden shelter and teepee, seating up to 40 guests, so we can host events come rain or shine!
A Woodland Walk
Our woodland glen is nestled in the woods, a short 250 metres / 5 minute stroll from our car park. Our track takes you uphill through the trees and therefore the walk is not suitable for those with any mobility issues. Please get in touch to discuss if concerned. For our evening events, the path will be candlelit, we advise bringing a torch for your walk back to the car park.
What To Wear
The British weather can be ever changing, so we advise guests to come prepared. Events take place come rain or shine, and take place under our Woodland Shelter, so are largely protected. We urge guests to wear suitable protective clothing in the event of wet weather.
During the colder months, we advise guests to wrap up warm and wear plenty of cosy layers. While we are protected from getting wet, the frosty winds can be bitter, so it's always best to ensure you are prepared.
For our evening dining events, many of our events bring blankets or a hot water bottle.
Embracing the Seasons
As you wander up to our woodland glen, you’ll notice our woods are teeming with wildlife and an abundance of beautiful trees, flora and fauna. During the Spring, our woodland floor is carpeted with beautiful bluebells, our favourite time of the year!
Woodland Kitchen
We specialise in cooking feasts over an open fire, prepared in our open kitchen with plenty of opportunity for guests to watch and ask questions!
Parking
We have plenty of parking available for you and your guests when joining us for an event, a 5-10 minute from our woodland spot. No overnight parking.
Facilities
Toilet facilities are available at our barn, please note they are a 5 minute walk from our Woodland Glen. Wild wees are encouraged!
Family Friendly
Our woodland glen is suitable for families. Children are permitted to explore the woodlands, so long as they remain within sight of their parents. Please check event details for family friendly events.
Shared Dining
We’re strong advocates of the shared dining experience, guests will be seated around our long sharing tables.
Dogs
We permit well-behaved dogs to a small number of our Dining Events, please ensure to check with us in advance. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times, and owners must dispose of their dog’s waste in a safe and responsible manner. Dogs are not permitted at any of our Cookery Courses.

The Salt Box is a celebration of seasonal food and open-fire cookery through the coming together of people beneath the trees, creating delicious food from nature’s humble ingredients. We celebrate locally sourced and wild ingredients through our wide range of courses and dining events, in the great outdoors surrounded by crackling fires.
