Wildflower Botanical Art Workshop

2-Course Seasonal Picnic Lunch

We’re combining art and food for a morning beneath the trees on the beautiful Priory Farm Estate for a Wildflower Botanical Art Workshop, followed by a seasonal picnic feast inspired by seasonal, local ingredients.

We’re very excited to welcome Ellie Green, founder of Surrey Art School to Salt Box HQ. Ellie will be bringing a gentle dose of Mindful Creativity to the Salt Box this Summer with a delightfully seasonal botanical pen and wash workshop where you’ll learn some simple, effective ways to work with with pigment liners before embracing a bright and beautiful colour palette to add a light watercolour wash to your drawings.

We’ll take a mindful walk through the summer meadow, capturing the sights and scents of the summer season. After we’ve gathered a delightful bouquet of wildflowers from the surrounding meadows, Ellie will guide you through how to capture these using soothing watercolour technique. From wet on wet, to pen and wash, expect a journey of discovery to the mesmerising world of botanical watercolour painting that will leave you feeling calm and connected to this beautiful season.

This workshop is suitable for beginners and Ellie’s gentle and mindful approach to teaching will encourage your confidence levels to bloom and your technical skill to blossom.

Following the workshop, we’ll sit down for a delicious picnic lunch. Inspired by local and seasonal produce, our menus showcase the very best of our doorstep produce.

DIETARY REQUIREMENTS

Our menus are best suited for flexible, adventurous eaters with a strong focus on seasonally and locally inspired ingredients, including wild and foraged foods sourced from nature’s larder.

Due to the nature of our events and in order to uphold high-quality standards we are only able to accommodate limited dietary requests at our dining events and cookery courses. Our dining events are intimate affairs with small groups, centred around a set menu lovingly prepared in our remote woodland kitchen by our small kitchen team, therefore preparing a separate menu to cater for dietary needs is not always possible.

please note

Social distancing, enhanced hygiene measures, specific risk assessments and careful management of our team are just a few of the measures we are taking. You can find out more about our policy and measures here. As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Instructions on how to find us and where to park, will be sent to you at least 72 hours prior to the event via email.

For our Refund Policy, please view our Terms and Conditions.
