Natural Art Workshop with Surrey Art School.

2-Course Seasonal Lunch with The Salt Box.

Join us beneath the trees for a nature-inspired art workshop in collaboration with Surrey Art School, followed by a seasonally inspired lunch cooked over our open fires.

We’re combining art and food for a morning beneath the trees with Surrey Art School founder, Ellie Green, followed by a seasonal feast.

Our food and art collaborations guarantee a warm welcome, a gentle dose of mindful creativity and a feast cooked over our flickering flames, inspired by seasonal, local ingredients.

We’ll take a mindful walk up to the woods, capturing the sights and scents of the spring season. Surrey Art School founder Ellie will guide you through how to capture these using soothing watercolour technique. From wet on wet, to pen and wash, expect a journey of discovery to the mesmerising world of botanical watercolour painting that will leave you feeling calm and connected to this beautiful season.

Following the workshop, we’ll sit down around our shared dining tables for a two-course lunch.

Our woodland glen is based on a beautiful private estate in South Nutfield, just outside of Redhill, a 30 minute direct train from London. We are fully covered with our woodland shelter in the event of wet weather, but please do ensure to dress appropriately.

This workshop is suitable for beginners and Ellie’s gentle and mindful approach to teaching will encourage your confidence levels to bloom and your technical skill to blossom.

Dietary Requirements

Due to the nature of our events and in order to uphold high-quality standards we cannot cater for all dietary requests at our dining events and cookery courses.

Our dining events are intimate affairs with small groups, centred around a set menu lovingly prepared in our remote woodland kitchen by our small kitchen team, therefore preparing a separate menu to cater for dietary needs is not always possible.

Dietary needs must always have been communicated and approved prior to booking your seat at our table, and must be advised to our team no later than 7 days prior to the event.

Please Note

Our dining spot is a 7-10 minute walk from our Parking area, with a section uphill. Toilet facilities are available near the Parking area by our barn.

Instructions on how to find us and where to park, will be sent to you prior to the event via email.
